1.4 "Material science" is a subject of researching the interaction between the material microstructure and macroscopic performance in the material preparation and material application, using the methods or instrumentalities of modern physics and chemistry. 4.2 Credit Hours Requirement
1) Doctors for three years semester: At least 16 credit hours for the curriculum study are required, including 2 public courses,1 special course and science proseminar
2) Doctors with a current job: It is the same demand for the curriculum setting as the doctors for three years semester. But time is flexible according to the job's situation.
In order to increase the science level, it is demanded that doctors should deliver 5 lectures and publish 3 papers during the study.
5.Science research and Thesis work
5.1 Opening report
5.1.1 The subject of the report: The question for discussion in the paper should be concerning the foreland researches of our major, or some essential issues related to the economy of our country.
5.1.2 The prerequisite of the report: The reporter ought to finish all the credit hours, which is supposed to be at least 16 credit hours for a doctor, prescribed by the project of cultivation and hand over 2-3 reports on special topics or brief summaries concerning academic conferences.
5.1.3 The requirements for the report: The reporter has to accomplish the opening report in one year, which is supposed to be more than 8000 words. 5.2 Mid-term report
